Trying to keep the cost of your luxury safaris and beach stay down?
If so then a stay on the Kenyan coast after your safari may fit the bill. Kenya is a land as diverse as your imagination, from a lion's roar to a bird's chirp, a Masai warrior to a fisherman, snow-capped peaks to thick forests and silver beaches to grassy plains. Kenya's coastline offers a great variety of hotels from budget all inclusive to some of the best 5 start boutique properties.
The Southern Palms is a great 4* beach hotel with one of the largest pools in East Africa, Southern Palms Kenya combines traditional style with modern service. You could add a hotel like this to your safari for as little as £200 for a 7 night stay.
Alternatively, at the other end of the scale is the Funzi Keys which is tucked away on an unspoilt island in the Indian Ocean. The Funzi Keys´ unique appeal is its luxurious seclusion and beautiful natural scenery. You could Add a 7 night stay to your safari from £1120 per person which for these standards should be considered good value.

Another great destination to add to your luxury safari itinerary.
Zanzibar!
Zanzibar offers amongst the best beaches in the world and is often featured in the "best 10 beach destinations" guides in the glossy magazines. The beaches in Zanzibar are paradise, scattered with picturesque fishing villages, where people live a simple way of life, unchanged over the years. There are more than 25 beautiful beaches in Zanzibar, and some are so peaceful and remote that the only noise breaking the silence are the waves lapping at the shore. The waters around the island are awash with colourful marine life and with visibility of between 30-60m Zanzibar is also one the world's best dive destinations.

Why not add a beach stay in Mozambique

If you are choosing to safari in Botswana or Namibia then an easy add on for a beach stay is Mozambique. Mozambique is a paradise of immaculate, uncrowded beaches, sparkling clear seas, freshwater lagoons and tantalising marine life. Once colonised by the Portuguese, there are still old remnants of the luxurious colonial lifestyles, and strong influences in language and cuisine remain evident. The local people, who, after decades of isolation, relish life with a charming dignity that will leave an incredible mark on you. The idyllic Bazaruto Archipelago lies off the coast and is perfectly located for a safari and beach combination. Entertain your wildest dreams within these beautiful surroundings.

What about Botswana luxury safaris?
Botswana sits in the heart of Southern Africa and is a truly diverse country. From the dry arid wilderness of the Kalahari to the lush, verdant Okavango Delta, this amazing country is sure to cast its spell over you. Botswana is without a doubt Africa's greatest wildlife destination, as all the game roams free across the plains, unlike Kenya or Tanzania where the game is restricted to the parks. Luxury safaris in Botswana are far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and is both unexploited and unexplored.

Should it be Kenya, Tanzania or Botswana for my safari?
Again this depends on personal preference and of course budget. However the time of year you travel could and should impact on your decision. For Instance if you are lucky enough to be travelling in August or early September, then the opportunity to view the great migration between Tanzania's Serengeti and Kenya's Masai is a specatacle not to be missed.
